The vision of the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office is to continually establish the benchmarks in the public safety profession by being recognized locally, as leaders in our profession who are unquestionably committed to enhancing the quality of life for and with the citizens of Scotts Bluff County.

Our Philosophy:

As employees of the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, we believe:

• We perform the primary mission of this office by identifying, prioritizing, preventing, and solving community problems, through cooperative Law Enforcement with other agencies and support services.
• We work for and with the citizens of our county in the process of enhancing public safety in Scotts Bluff County.
• We uphold the belief that deputies and support staff are key components to our collective success! All staff members will provide the support necessary to ensure the success of deputies and support staff in the performance of their assigned duties.
• We protect the constitutional rights of all people.

Meaning of the Seven Point Star:

According to Herb Caen of the San Francisco Chronicle, the seven point star dates back to 1886 in his city and the seven points stand for the seven seals mentioned in the Book of Revelations. Which are: VIRTUE, DIVINITY, PRUDENCE, FORTITUDE, HONOR, GLORY and PRAISING GOD.
