Scotts Bluff County 911 Communications Center has openings for full time E911 Dispatchers.

Must be able to work through stressful situations and multitask. This position protects the lives, health, safety, and property by receiving and prioritizing multiple simultaneous emergency requests for law-enforcement, fire, and rescue services. Dispatchers are responsible for providing accurate and courteous services to all Law Enforcement, Fire and Rescue providers, and the general public.

Preferred skills and experience: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work as part of a team; excellent customer service; ability to multi-task and remain organized; ability to stay calm under pressure; strong critical thinking skills; ability to work shift work (including evenings, weekends and holidays with occasional overtime);  respond to all incoming calls positively and effectively per established protocols.

Requirements: 19 years or older, High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass criminal background check, written test, and interview.

 Excellent benefit package. Starting wage $20.69. Qualifies for Veterans’ Preference. Scotts Bluff County is an EOE/AA.
